Summer Vacation!

These past two weeks have just flown by! I was able to take the kids up to my mom and dads for a few weeks of vacation time while Trav went to basketball camp. It was so much fun!

My sister Cari flew in with her 2 kids from San Antonio. Each day was packed with fun things for the kids(and moms) to do. Here's a break down of everything we crammed into 12 days (of super crappy weather):

Day 1: I took my 2 nieces and my kids- and don't forget grandma and grandpa- to see the movie "UP" We all loved it! Then grandpa took us all out to Rock Creek Pizza-his fav!

Day 2:Did one of my BFF's nails. Did a much needed Costco run-I LOVE COSTCO! Anyways, then we waited for Cari, Dallin, and Lexi to arrive. After they got there we talked and the kids played. We miss them so much and wished they could live closer!

Day3:Went to my cousins new baby's blessing. I was so good to see everyone.

Day 4: Went to the South Jordan Rec. to swim. We all had a blast. My favorite part was not putting on sunscreen :) -it was indoors. Madi had her first swim and loved it! Mason was a little hesitant. He wont even lay down in the tub! But after the first 20 min. he was EVERYWHERE! He loved it and cried when we had to leave. Malarie loves the water. She even went down this huge slide all by her self 4 times until they realized she wasn't tall enough. Cari's in-laws were able to come to and it was so nice to have the extra sets of eyes to watch over all the kids.

Day 5: We all went over to my sister Cami's house/farm. I call it they because we were going to go to the Petting Zoo but she has all of the animals already at her house and it was FREE! All the kids love going to Cami's because of the animals and because she has the coolest toys. While we were there Cari and I made some felt clips for our girls hair. We love doing new crafts!

Day 6: MALL DAY!!! YEAH!!! Cari, Chanda, and I...and 6 kids under 6 went to South Towne. We did a little shopping, a little carousel action, and then let the kids play in the Dino Park. It was so relaxed and chill and the kids we all SO good.

Day 7: It was POURING out side! We went to the Aquarium. All of us were able to go- even grandma was able to get off work early to come. The kids loved the NEMO tank and touching the sting rays. I loved the live shark embryo that we got to see- I can't even explain it but you have to go, it was amazing! When we came outside to go home there were PILES of snow(hail) it was nuts- did the weather not get the MEMO that this is JUNE!!!

Day 8: This was the only good looking day as far as the weather was concerned. We all went to the zoo. I love the Zoo and we didn't get to go last year. It was so fun to see Mason's reaction to all the animals that he has only read about or seen pictures. He loved it. Malarie loved it to. When I asked her what her favorite part was, she said, "Going on the carousel and getting to pick out a toy.", so much for the animals :)

After we got home from the Zoo we had the Famous TAQUITO NIGHT!-yum yum! After it was all cleaned up I started pedicures and gel toes for my sisters and my Mom.-Happy Birthday Girls!

Day 9: We went to Caris in-laws- The Chappell's for an awesome dinner and some fun BINGO! Teresa and Jeff went all out! I appreciate all that they did! they went to way too much work for us- we had such a great time!

After we got home and go the kids to bed we stared watching "Twilight" and there was a knock at the door...it was TRAVIS!!! I was so excited! I had missed him so much! I couldn't have asked for a better surprise!

Day 10: It was Sunday and it was nice to go to my home ward. Since my mom and dad just bought a new house in Draper I don't know how many more time I will get to go to my old ward. And about them moving... I have was mixed emotions about it. Anyone else have to go through this?

Day 11: Hollywood Connections here we come! It was yet another crappy rainy day, so we ventured inside...again! It was fun though. The kids loved the rides and mini golf. I liked going to Chilies for lunch:)

Monday night was GIRLS NIGHT OUT! We went to Bonsai and to a super dumb movie-"My Life in Ruins" I don't recommend it. But we had a great time. Its always nice to be out with the girls!

Day 12: pack up day. We were able to get everything to fit in the van that we had taken with us and the stuff we bought.

It was such an awesome vacation. I am so lucky to have such great sister. I look up to each of them. How blessed am I to have 4 amazing sister and an amazing mom! I love all of you and I am so glad we had the time together to make some "BAAMIN"(that's for you Cari) memories!

Chalyse we missed you deeply. I am glad it seems to be going well for you. Keep fighting!
