We started off the day with me running(and walking) the new 5k that our cute little city put on. I was really only planning on walking the whole thing, but at about half way I decided to run to catch up to some of my friends. We ended up getting a time at 36 min. Yea! Then I went home and went back to bed :)
We had a great breakfast at the Story's and then went to the carnival to play. The kids had such a great time playing all the games, winning prizes, and running in the races for their quarters:) I love all the traditions here in Salina. Travs favorite part is seeing his friends that have moved away and playing basketball with them.
After all the fun we went home to have naps so we would be rest to drive to Texas. When we woke up it was off to the Parade to watch Malarie and collect candy. Malarie had participated in the mini cheer clinic so she got to ride on the float again. Madi was all about getting the candy, but she wanted to eat it right then and not put it into the bag. I can't even guess how many salt water taffys' she ate!
After the parade we went to the Story's to have a BBQ! Then everyone came over to our house to watch the fireworks in our back yard. We have such a great view of the show! Then it was off to Texas at 11:30!
