Alumni Tournie

Trav puts on an Alumni Tournament every year. This year it was even more fun for me to go to because Trav had talked my bro in law Joel to come and play. It was so fun to have Cari and her family at my house(even if it was only for 24 hrs) and in our little town. We had a fun time watching our men out there playing ball together. And to make it even better they played awesome. In fact their team did so great they won...the whole thing! Wow you boys look good in your new sweatshirts:) Go 96-97!!!!! Until next year!

***New Years Eve***

What a great NewYears! We all got together at my parents new house this year. It was so much fun. As always we had a TON of great food where I gained a TON(Iust can't stop myself)! We played games, watched ball, the kids hit a pinatia-go Blake-, the kids played bingo for cash and prizes, the adults played games(outdated Outburst), we(Joel) lit off some fire works, the kids watched movies, and of course there was a silly string incident-I am still not sure who won-Cami or Cari- all I know is that it was hillarious! After the ball fell and there were kisses given all the adults left to their homes...alone. My mom had the kids all sleep over...with Trav and I:)

Sledding Fun!!

The week after Christmas we took all the nieces and nephews sledding. We had so much fun. I even went down a few times. I had forgotten how much I love sledding. When it was time to get going after almost 2 hrs the kids were still not ready. So, we went back the next day!

Mason surprised me, he would go down in a sled and then grab the sled and start marching up the big hill. He did really well too! My sister had a sled that was huge! It could fit 6 kids in it. The kids all loved riding together. I am so glad that my kids we able to make so many good memories with their cousins and aunts.

-Christmas-

Christmas this year was the best yet! Our kids are at such fun ages-they really get whats going on.We had a great Christmas eve. We did a little last minuet shopping and prepped for a great dinner at out house. Paula made a delicious turkey, and there was so many other yummy things to eat. The company was even better! We had Taryn, Chris, Tyler, Kari, Dylan, Trace, Nana, and Papa, and our whole family. We ate and played games until it was time for Santa to come.

Christmas morning was awesome! My kids were so much fun to watch. It took so long to open our gifts because the kids just wouldn't unwrap the gifts but they wanted to open them and play with them before they moved to the next one. I LOVED IT!

After we rushed to get ready for the day we went to the Story's for another Christmas morning. The kids and Trav and I were so spoiled! After presents we had a great breakfast. The kids then watched a movie that they got for Christmas and the adults played games. Paula always does some really great prizes and she always has a theme. This years theme was "Christmas Cash"! Trav and I were not really on the same page this year. We did do pretty good racking in $90, but Taryn and Chris killed us with $140! Go Taryn and Chris...we'll get you next year:)

Later in the day we drove up to my mom and dads where my WHOLE family was waiting! We have not all been together in 7 years since my wedding. It was so much fun to be with everyone. My sister Chalyse looks great-Malarie has been praying for her to get hair and she was so excited to see that she did have hair!

We played games and just hung around talking. It was so much fun!

I love being with family! That was my favorite part of the whole day. Except for my niece Kenadee and my sis in law Nikki Sue(who we saw the next day) I saw every single person on both sides of our family in one day....A M A Z I N G!!!

We recently had some family pics taken by my friend K'Brina Colby. It was awesome! She did such a great ob and it was effortless. She was so great with my kids and they just loved her. You can't beat her prices and she gives you the CD. She did some really fun stuff too. My favorite part about the CD was the she photo shopped all the pic into black and white, sepia, and color. She was awesome look her up and give her a call!

Guess whos one?!

On December 4th our little baby turned one! I guess that means she is not such a baby any more. She has been so much fun and brings out the best of everyone in our family. Mason has such a soft spot for her and is always so soft and sweet with her(quite different from his everyday attitude with the rest of us). Mal just adores Madi, she is always trying to make her happy by playing with her all the time. Madi has such a great personality it is not hard to fall in love with her.

I have started noticing a little "stinker" side in her that has been starting to appear. If I am doing nails and the kids aren't having a nap, I come into the house when I am done and I can see how hard she has been at work: The movies are all out, the shoes in the back hall are off the shelves, the tupperware lids have all been evacuated from the drawer they should be in, the cord and dvd in the other room are all out, and the bows in the bathroom are all over the house. She loves to empty ANYTHING! She is so funny!

We had such a great time watching her eat spaghetti at her party. She LOVED it! I don't know if she loved that or her giant cupcake more. She loved all the gifts she got-=she is so spoiled be all her grandmas and grandpas and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

We love you Madilyn and can't wait to share another fun year with you!

On Monday night she got a second party at her Grandma and Grandpa Storys. She had so much fun eating and opening up her presents.

3-2-1

In November our sweet little kitty- Sparkle- died. I was going to write about this sooner but in all seriousness it was too hard for me to write about. Now that time has healed the wound I am going to take a go at telling the story(i guess thats a little too dramatic :D).

It was just one of those days when we had been in a hurry since we woke up. We were getting in the van to take Mal to dance and Sparkle was trying to climb into the van. Malarie pushed her back out and she ran under the van. I got down on my hands and knees to she if she was clear of the tires and I didn't see her. So we piled in and started to back out. Because I wasn't 100% sure where she was I moved so slow. I hoped out to close my garage and I looked over and saw her kind of rolling around. I finished closing the garage so Malarie wouldn't see and went and picked her up. I could tell something was wrong but all of her legs seamed to be fine but one. I just thought that she might have a dislocated leg. I put her on her bed and ran Mal to dance and ran home-it took about 2 min. When we pulled in the garage she had fallen off her bed and was rolling in some dirt that she had kick out of her potty box. I scooped her up and ran inside and gave her a bath. She was so sweet. After I got her cleaned I was blow drying her and she was just looking at me like "save me." Then I saw her take one last breath. Ahh, it was awful! I finished drying her and ran and got a blanket and I called Trav and then I started crying and he kind of got upset. Our kids just loved that kitty! I didn't want to tell Malarie. That was the worst part about the whole thing. She was so upset for days! All she would draw was pictures of her kitty. And say thing like," I never even got to hold her kitty's!" and the I would say, "She never had any kittens." and Mal would say, "I KNOW she NEVER got to have any, cry cry cry."

I felt so bad. I had never killed anything or watched something die. It was horrible. I don't know how people hunt and kill animals.

A few days after Sparkle died and my kids were still in mourning one of our fish died. At first when I saw it I thought "oh no Sparkle the fish just died!" but then Malarie pointed out that it was Tessa the fish. Mason wasn't too upset over the fish but he keeps saying that we know only have one pet named Sparkle because mom ran over the kitty Sparkle.

So Trav felt so bad about Sparkle that even though he didn't want her to begin with he told Malarie that she can have a cat in the spring. Anyone know of a cute cat that is preggers?
