A Blessed Day

Yesterday was one of those special days that I will always remember. I love the blessing day for a few reasons. One, is the actual blessing. It is so amazing to have all of the ones we love come and stand in the circle holding our baby girl while Travis blesses our child. I am sure I am not the only one that sheds tears. It was such a wonderful blessing. The spirit was so strong. Travis gave her such great counsel and blessed her with amazing things. I know this little Madi will be such a strong influence in our life as she grows.

Two, it was so fun to see all of our family and friends. After the blessing everyone came to our house for some good food. Thanks Cami, Stan, Chanda, Mom, and Aunt Joyce for helping get everything going. I got home from the church and everything was taken care of. I didn't do a thing! It was so nice to be able to visit with everyone and not have to worry about the kitchen. Man I was born into an awesome family! Some of our family and friends we wish we could see more often but with the distance we all live from each other it is hard to get together. We appreciated everyone driving the two plus hours to come to our little town, and for waking up so early to do so (am am really sorry that we keep having babies when we are on the 9 o'clock church schedule especially the ones of you with four kids-Sarah-. Really it was such an awesome day.

After everyone had left for the day our house got really quiet and Mal got really sad and said, "Mom, I wish everyone could just stay with us. I miss everyone. And I want to ride the nana bus." Aunt Kris is so cute with Malarie. She puts her on her lap and sings a little song. She calls it the nana bus. Malarie has already asked about the nana bus today too. We love you Aunt Kris! Mason also noticed a huge change when he woke up and everyone was gone. He just thrives in a huge crowd. He is our little social butterfly. When he noticed it was just boring old mom and dad he started asking for everyone by the names he could say. I think he was confussed to where they had all gone. We were able to go to Misty and Brayden's for a Super Bowl Party that night which seemed to make Mason forget about the family leaving. Thanks Mist it was a blast. It was fun to get caught up again and let the kids play. I can't believe how big our kids are all getting. All and All it was a blessed day! I am so thankful for wonderful family and friends who get to share days like this with!
