Halloween Party!!

We had such a blast on Sunday! Cami decided to host a Halloween party this year, and we are all so glad she did! There was such fun food(that I didn't get a picture of) and so delicious soups and breads to fill our bellies.
After eating, we got down to business playing games. We had a wrapping up the mummy contest. It was so much fun to watch! Dylan wasn't quite sure what to think about it, but he was a good sport and let his mom finish. Cami and Peyton we're the WINNERS of this game.
Next up was Halloween BINGO! Mom brought this game and the AWESOME prizes. I think everyone go to win 4 times.
Last up was the doughnut on a string game. It was funny to watch the kids. Malarie quit, saying it was too hard. Peyton and Paige were in a tie but it was Peyton that won-way to go Pey.

The kids all dressed up...and Aunt Cami-you go girl ROCK THE MULLET!
Scary Jack Sparrow
Peyton was a Webkin Flamingo, Paige was 50's girl, and Malarie is a Fairy Ballerina
The kids smothered grandma and grandpa when the party was over. Thanks grandma and grandpa for the fun fun fun Halloween bags and all the great prizes. We love you!
Thanks Cami for all the work you went to. You have help create awesome memories. Lets hype it up...maybe Chalyse and Cari will come next year:)

It looks like you and your little ones are having lots of fun too! The witch hats are delicious and were made by our next door neighbor when we moved from Sandy. They are fun to make, although a bit messy, and very worth it. You need sugar cones, ice cream, magic shell topping, chocolate cookies, and sprinkles (orange look the best in my opinion but I only had brown on hand this year). Step 1: Fill the cones with ice cream -freeze! Step 2: Cover the outside of the cones with magic shell topping. This is where is gets messy. (Only take a couple cones out of the freezer at a time so all the ice cream doesn't melt.) Use your finger to spread the topping around a bit. (Do not cover the top where the ice cream is yet.) You could also pour some topping in a dish and roll the cones in it; that might be less messy. Add sprinkles and then return them to the freezer again. Once the topping is frozen, proceed to step 3: add the cookie. Squirt some magic shell topping on the cookie and press the cone upside down on the cookie. Return them to the freezer one last time ...enjoy! You can either buy large chocolate cookies to use for the base of the witch hat or if you make them, here is an easy, tasty recipe: 1 chocolate cake mix, 3/4 cup shortening, 1 egg. Bake at 375 for 8 - 10 min. Happy Halloween! (by the way, I was able to make 10 witch hats with one bottle of magic shell topping)

Fun party--I want to see your costume! You are kidding me with that pumpkin bread story! That is so hilarious! I tried to take an ice cream pie to someone for a relief society dinner once and the entire thing melted over the edge of the pie tin when I put hot fudge on it. Don't ask how I managed that, I guess I just pulled a Cristan:) Luckily Brad was on his way home from work and I frantically called him to stop and get a new dessert. It was such a mess and I was a little upset. I really want to see you guys. I'm seriously missing you, especially after that story.

Cristan!!!!!!!!

I was so excited when I looked at my blog and saw that you found me. I have been wondering if I would ever be able to get in contact with you again. Just seeing your name makes me smile and laugh from all the good memories. Funny thing is I still have Mason's birth annoucement on my fridge. My husband keeps asking if we still need it, and I won't let him throw it away because I need your return address. . . and now you have three kids!!! That is awesome!

Ironically, I work with Malarie Hilton's mom. Crazy at how the world is such a small place.

Sorry, it took me so long to get back to you. I kind of suck at blogging and facebook . . . just not enough time. But I just quit work so I am hoping to find a little more time to keep up with life. Brad is almost done with school. He will get his master's degree in architecture in May. It is kind of crazy to think that we won't be students. . . not that I'm sad about it, but when your poor it makes you feel better to say your a student :) Now we just get to be poor. But that's okay because we are happy. We plan to stay in Utah, unless some amazing opportunity opens up somewhere else.

I am so happy that you have a blog. I am up for lunch. We should all get together. I know that Jamie and Britta live out of state. Jamie's in WY (troyandjamie.blogspot.com) and Britta's in NY (jb-lifeisgood.blogspot.com - hers is private).

Your bread story is so funny! It reminds me of a time I cooked dinner for my father-in-law. I mistook Tbsp for tsp and put way too much salt. I felt so dumb, especially when he asked for seconds. I guess he must have been hungry, because I was gagging it was so salty.

I'm so glad to be back into contact with you!!
