Oh my, Mallies five!!!

**I have no idea about the random order of the pictures...have fun trying to find what story goes with what picture:)

I can't believe I have a 5 year old! I really tried hard to convince her that she should stay four. In fact I bribed her with a friend party if she would just stay four, but to no avail she wanted to be five, and so it was on the 15th my little girl turned five!(tear, tear)
For her family Birthday party this year she wanted to celebrate with her cousin Paige(these two girls are like twins separated at birth...and three years!). They just love each other and even thought they are three years apart, they have such a fun time together.
We decided to all go to Alice in Wonderland-i was a little worried it was going to be too scary(the commercials freak me out a little!) but it wasn't scary. In fact Mason loved it, and even Madi did okay. After the movie we all went over to Spaghetti Mamas for diner. My mom was flying in from Texas and my dad and her were able to make dinner and so we had the whole fam. It was delicious! After dinner we all went to my sister Cami's for cake and ice cream.
***This is a side story, if you know me there is always a story inside a story, so here it goes: I was going to make Mal and Paige these adorable purse cakes I saw on Betty Crocker. I worked on them for three days. I actually had to make 3 full cakes because I dropped one on the ground!!Ahhh! I even made this ridiculous butter cream frosting that took 4 hours! They cakes finally looked awesome...I would even say flawless. I couldn't wait for them to see them. We loaded the car I i made sure we all had our coats on she we could keep the heater off. But then we hit a HUGE storm and had to put on the defrosters-which must have warmed up the car. Because after being stalled in the snow and hitting construction in Am. Fork, by the time we were getting off the freeway the cakes were melting!!! It was awful! I cried! Cami tried to fix them but they were unfixable. So so sad!***
So instead of cake we ate a pyramid of Krispy Cream Doughnuts. They were delicious!
On Sunday we hung around my mom and dad's and she got to open presents again.
On Monday(her real Birthday) she woke up to her pile of presents and her new Barbie bike, and a french toast breakfast-her request.
That night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Story's for dinner and...more presents! Grandpa made her a great birthday banner, she loved it and grandma made her a great dinner.
I felt bad about her purse cake so I make her another one...if at first you don't succeed, try, try again! :)

Okay, you get Mom of the Year for making like, 4 cakes (well, for "making" the cake at all. Harmon's bakery anyone? Ummm, ya). I can't believe that girl is 5. I swear you just had her?? I love her. She's freakin' adorable. I can't believe she's going to be starting kindergarten! Crazy. Happy Birthday Mal! We love ya!
