Easter Egg Hunt at the Nelson's

On Saturday we went to the Nelson's for their annual egg hunt. It has become one of our family traditions that we look forward to. They start off by taking the kids on a hay ride around the farm while the Easter bunnies ;) ;) hide the eggs. Well, there are too many eggs to really hide them- they just are ALL OVER the grass, and anywhere else and egg can fit. You have never seen anything like it!
We loaded up the two older kids and Trav on the hay ride and I went inside to feed the babe. Next thing I know I looked out and Travis and Mason were playing on the basketball court! The hay ride started and Malarie was all by herself-well not exactly by her self there were probably like 50 other people-but Trav was not with her. I felt so bad for her. I was just hoping that she was okay and too traumatized.

When the hay ride got back there she was sitting by herself. She was just fine but was very happy to see me. We got off the ride and ran to find the eggs. Malarie is at such a fun age this year. Everything is magical to her. She couldn't believe there were so many eggs that the bunny had hidden while she was on the ride :)

Travis was with Mason. He said that he had a late start because Mason was concerned with his milk sippy. He did get a few eggs though and thought that he was so cool. His favorite part was their huge back yard with a million of balls to play with.
After the egg hunt we ate lunch. It was supper yummy. Kirby was grilling hot dogs and Leslie had made some awesome southern rice. Everyone else brought something to share. Again I just wanted to keep going back for more.
We had such a great time. Thanks Nelson's for putting on such a great egg hunt!
