WOoo WOoo WOoo (thats my interpretaion of a siren:)

(this is Malaries class and the p.m. class)

On Monday Malarie's preschool went to the fire house. She was so excited about going. For the past 5 days every morning she would ask, "Is today the day we are to go to the fire house?" I was happy to finally be able to answer, "yes!" -side note- I try not telling Malarie up coming events until right before they happen because she has no concept of time- are your kids the same?- Anywho, I got to go with them and Mason got to tag along too!

Now in our little town we don't have full time firefighters-at least I am pretty sure. There wasn't a living space or anything. Therefore no pole to slide down- that was a little sore spot with Malarie. I don't even know how she knew about the pole? But she really wanted to try it. But as soon as we got to see the trucks all the disappointment vanished.

Firefighter Jeff opened the garage doors and Mason went nuts yelling, "TRUCK, TRUCK, TRUCK!" only he doesn't pronounce the "T or R" instead he adds the letter "F" - can you figure out what he was really yelling?!- it was so funny, all the adults around us were laughing. I need to remember not to bring toy trucks to church ;)

After firefighter Jeff showed us the trucks he told the kids about the uniform and let all the kids that wanted to try it on. I tried to get Malarie to try it on. I just knew if she didn't, when we got home she would be crying about it. In trying to pursued her she started crying! Now I looked like this pushy Mom-I hate that! So, I dropped it. Mason on the other hand is NOT shy at all and was ready for it. When Jeff lifted him into the boots, his legs were too short to touch the ground- poor little peeps!

After trying on the uniform everyone got to have a chance taking a ride in the BIG fire truck! When we were on the truck Jeff let the kids turn on and off the lights and siren. He was really cute with the kids.

( Malarie and Ryker)

It was so fun to see my kids get so excited about learning new things and seeing them have new experiences. Malarie is such a good big sister. Instead of leaving her brother behind and playing with her friends she would hold Mason's hand and bring him with her. Mason usually doesn't want to hold her hand but that day he did. And I swear he was just thinking, " I have a really cool sister!" I just love moments like that! I know I say that every post but little moments like that in my day make the crappy moments fade.(a little)

And I hate to say, "I told you so!" actually I don't -that's one of my favorite thing to say to Trav, what can I say I just LOVE being right! Anyways, When we got home Malarie was a mess! She was crying because "She didn't get a chance to try on the uniform and Mason did!" I tried to tell her CALMLY that she did have a chance and she said no. I do feel bad for her but I don't at the same time. She did say that next year when her preschool goes back she is going to put it on for sure!

Fun!!! What a cute field trip! That is so cute of Mal, she's such a great sissy. And I know what you mean. You feel bad because they're sad, and yet you don't because it is so frustrating that you want to scream at them " I told you!! I knew you would be sad when we got home, and look at you!!" Same thing happened with Laylah and the Easter Bunny at the mall. Silly kids.

Oh Mason looked too cute in that uniform, it's too bad Mal had regrets later about not trying it on- you WERE and probably always ARE right!! ;) Your kids are so stinkin' adorable, can't wait to squeeze them in person "one day"!! I laughed picturing Mason excitedly yelling trUCK~ I am dissapointed that you didn't post the picture of YOU in the uniform, I KNOW you couldn't resist slippin' it on!

What a fun day! Looks like Mal loved it! I wish we lived closer so we could do preschool with you guys. That would be Lillie's dream come true to be in "Mal's class"! Adorable pictures! I'll call you tomorrow and we can chat about seeing you this weekend.

I'm so glad you blog, too! I have had a great time catching up, although now I am very behind with the things I need to do today:). I wish I could have been there yesterday, too but Bai got her tonsils out last week and was very sore yesterday so I stayed home with her. Your family is soo cute.. I can't believe Mason is already 2!!!
