Mason turned 3! He was so excited for his birthday. Every time we go to the store and he sees something he wants he says, "Maybe for my Birthday, huh mom." We had his party up at my Mom's house and all the cousins got to come. He wanted a Buzz Lightyear Rocket ship cake. I didn't quite have a pattern to follow but Mason ended up loving his cake---
***SIDE NOTE***
I have been telling Mason for months that I will make him a rocket ship cake when he learns to go potty, never thinking it was really ever going to happen. I was having nightmares about taking him to pre-school in the fall in his diaper! My next worry was that I WAS going to make him a cake no matter what, but I had been saying I wouldn't...ahhh why do I say stupid things! Anyways, on a whim at the end of March we saw and bought Toy Story pullups. We bought them just to see what would happen and...TA DA he was potty trained with no accident by his birthday. We didn't even use up a whole pack of pullups before we put him into under ware. Way to go Mason!
Bake to the party, he of course wanted a Toy Story party which I though no biggie until I went to every party store in the valley and none of them carried it yet!! But I made due and I think it turned out great. We had a good dinner and then played BINGO after. My mom bought huge bubble wands for all the kids afterwards and they had a blast. Mason got to open presents and after getting a bike, a Click Smart computer, clothes a bunch of other toys his favorite gift was a Zurg toy for his Aunt Cami.
