This year I had been looking forward to doing Race for the Cure ever since I finished the race last year. I was so glad that things worked out so I could go. My awesome husband stayed home with the kids and I went up to my mom and dads on Friday. It was so weird going without the kids! I was even driving in the carpool lane like I always do and didn't realize it until I got to the point of the mtn.! I am sure glad I didn't get pulled over! We had a BBQ at my mom's that night and then wet to my Cami's and got our shirts all ready for the race.
This year we put:"How Ellen got her BOOBS back!" on the front in honor of Cami's friend Ellen that we were racing with. And on the back we put, "Breast Cancer SUCKS!"
We had such a good time at the race this year. I even got my mom to come! There is something about being in the midst of thousands and thousands of people who are all united for the same cause, and one that has effected everyone in some way.
I hope that they find a cure soon. And for all of those out there that are fighting this ugly disease, keep it up and kick cancer in the BUTT!
